You haven’t heard of us yet? That’s only natural. Discretion and confidentiality are our philosophy.

Sovereignty

SovIA is sovereign. What does that mean?

Sovereign, because we control the entire chain: the AI models behind SovIA run on our own servers, in Switzerland, and your data is hosted with us and nowhere else. No external AI provider or sub-processor processes it, and no third party receives your documents or your conversations. It all belongs to us, from the AI servers to those that store your data, and we operate the models ourselves.

Hosting data in Switzerland is not enough if its AI processing is outsourced elsewhere. With us, storage, search, embeddings and inference all take place within one and the same perimeter: ours.

Features

An assistant for legal work, not a gadget.

  1. Legal research

Federal and cantonal law in force, in French, German and Italian. The text of every article cited comes from its official source at the time of the answer, with its version date, one click from the original.

  2. Case law

Judgments of the Federal Supreme Court (ATF included), the Federal Administrative Court, the Federal Criminal Court and the cantonal courts. A question asked in French also finds the judgments handed down in German and Italian; a judgment set aside on appeal gives way to the final decision.

  3. Document analysis

Contracts, written submissions, judgments, scanned exhibits: up to 100 documents per conversation, files of over 1,000 pages, processed in full with every question. SovIA summarises them, gives page references and attaches the official text of the articles they invoke.

  4. Drafting and review

Drafting a legal document, reviewing a contract, analysing an argument: SovIA recognises the task and adapts its approach. Every answer can be exported to DOCX, PDF or Markdown, ready to reuse in your files.

  5. Translation

Texts and documents, between French, German, Italian and English. When translating into French, German or Italian, the articles of federal law cited take their official version instead of being translated again.

  6. Dictation

Dictate into the microphone: SovIA transcribes your voice on our servers, then corrects and formats the text, even when dictated in several takes.

Frequently asked questions

Your other questions.

Why not use a consumer AI assistant?

Consumer assistants have become very capable and can answer general legal questions asked without identifying data. But they do not systematically consult Swiss legislation and case law. SovIA searches them, quotes the official text of the articles and gives its sources, so that you can check them.

The real difference lies in your documents. Entrusted to a service established abroad, they may become subject to foreign law, which exposes information covered by professional secrecy (Art. 321 SCC). With SovIA, their processing stays on ProximA-i’s infrastructure, in Switzerland, and if you are bound by professional secrecy, our staff act as your auxiliaries (DPA Art. 5 para. 2).

Hosting in Switzerland, inference in Switzerland: what is the difference?

Hosting is where your files are stored. Inference is the computation by which the AI model processes your questions, your documents and the legal extracts to produce an answer: a file hosted in Switzerland can be processed elsewhere. For confidential data, both must be under control; with SovIA, both take place on our servers, in Switzerland.

What happens if an authority demands my data?

We inform you immediately, unless prohibited by law, and we hand over no data of our own accord. We point out to the authority the protected secrets and the fact that you are their proprietor; in the event of seizure, you can request sealing, yourself or through us, and failing instructions from you, we request it ourselves (DPA Art. 12).

Can SovIA replace legal analysis?

No. SovIA is an assistance tool. Its results may be inaccurate or incomplete and must be checked by the professional, who remains responsible for their analysis.

AI is not a jurist, a judge or a lawyer, but a powerful assistance tool whose value depends on the informed use the professional makes of it.
