BespokeLegal API
Swiss law, directly in your applications.
The legal API gives you access to SovIA’s legal engine: the official text of articles, the search for the legal basis and Swiss case law, served from our servers in Switzerland. For software vendors, law firms, legal departments and any company building Swiss law into its own tools.
Bespoke pricing, depending on the volumes your project needs.

The sources of Swiss law, ready to integrate.
-
The official text of articles
A reference is enough, “art. 41 CO” or “art. 107 à 109 CO”, in French, German or Italian: the API returns the text in force, paragraph by paragraph, with its version date and the link to the official source. An article that does not exist is reported as such.
-
The legal basis of a question
Describe a situation in plain language: the API identifies the relevant laws and their articles, in under a second. For federal law, the question can be asked in French, German or Italian.
-
Case law
Judgments of the Federal Supreme Court (ATF included), the Federal Administrative Court, the Federal Criminal Court and the cantonal courts, filtered by court, period or publication. A reference, ATF 143 II 443 or 4A_433/2018, is enough to obtain the full text of the judgment.
-
In-depth research
For a question of law, the API selects the judgments that answer it, draws out the rule and quotes the passage that establishes it, after locating that passage in the text of the judgment. Decisions set aside on appeal give way to the final decision. As the rule is produced by an AI, it must still be checked against that passage before use.
Integration
A simple API, on sovereign infrastructure.
Responses come as JSON, with standardised references, links to the official sources and the PDF of the judgments. Your requests are processed on our servers, in Switzerland, by the models we operate there; only an article’s reference goes to the official source, to retrieve its text in force.
Bespoke pricing: together we define the volumes, the keys and the contract suited to your project, then send you a quote. The API can also run on your own server.
